Scraprat, I agree with you on Ryobi tools. I personally have Milwaukee, but that's only because that was the first tool I bought and I like having common batteries.

I have metric and SAE impact sets, but they're fairly heavy so I went with this impact set for my rv tool bag:

Amazon Amazon

This little set covers every lug nut on every vehicle I own, and the quality seems good. Also, the length and slightly thinner wall make them easy to get past the hubs on the truck. For smaller socket needs in the rv, I just use my Harbor Freight all-in-one tool kit.

See my comment below HRTKD's quote for a little more detail.

There are a few other tools that escape my mind, plus spare parts as well as a small collection of hardware (nuts, bolts, screws, wire nuts, duct tape, Eternabond, etc.).
I carry these and a bit more based on my personal experiences and road side fixes.

It is great to have the ability to fix something and continue on instead of cancelling a trip or waiting 5+ hours for a tow.

I carry the impact, a Jacobs chuck with adapter, twist drills, and an angle grinder with cutoff wheels, flap discs and grinding disks.

I used my new Ryobi P262 1/2”cordless impact this weekend to rotate my tires on my 450 and it worked well .

I recently picked up some Milwaukee Tools to keep with me in the truck and camper. I went with the M12 platform based my needs, as well as on all the good reviews I have read. I picked up the Fuel 1/2" Stubby Impact and a (non Fuel) 3/8 ratchet. I also have the 1/2" Fuel hammer drill on the way. I have a couple of the 2 amp batteries, a 4 amp and a 6 amp. I think these three devices will have me covered pretty well for most things. I haven't had the chance to use them much yet, but looking forward to using the impact to rotate tires!
