Truck is a 2003 F350. I had tapped into a wire running under the drivers side scuff plate. It is a green wire with a yellow stripe. It is only hot when the key is on. I tapped into it to get a switched hot for my aftermarket seat heaters. Anyway, it no longer works and I can't find a blown fuse. Every thing seems to work on the truck. Does anybody know what circuit this might go to? Starting to pull my hair out and I ain't got that much to pull!!! LOL Thanks for any help or suggestions.
By "scuff plate" I thinking you are talking about the plastic piece between the carpet and the door sill?
.
If so, was the green/yellow wire wrapped with any other wires?
Was the green a light or dark green?
Did the green/yellow wire appear to travel the entire length of the scuff plate?
Was the gauge (thickness) of the wire standard looking like the rest of the wires in/around the vehicle for accessories and 12v applications?
Have you checked the batteries to see if the green/yellow wire originates there and was installed by a previous owner (if you are not the original owner)?
The Ford Service Manual does not do a good job at identifying the use or source of a wire based on location or color code. We generally need to know the source or destination of the wire.
I will take a look around and see if I can find something that references what you are looking for. Although, if the wire is there by itself and not in a loom or wrapped with other wires, I believe this is a "customer" installed wire.
Perhaps the green/yellow wire you are looking for is on the same circuit as the vanity mirror lights and the courtesy lamps as seen in the images below? The "LG/YE" represents a "light green/yellow" wire.
Now I feel like an idiot. The wire is yellow with a green stripe not green with a yellow stripe. I went out and checked an it comes out of the loom and goes under the front seats some where. I picked this wire because it is only hot when the key is on. Thanks from an old forgetful fart.

It's all good "old forgetful fart". I am comfortable in calling you that, as I fit into that same category on most days.
I will take a look at the wiring diagrams again when I have a few moments.
Just put the turkey on the rotisserie and my hand is void of a cold beer...
So far, the only thing I have been able to find in/around the driver seat that is a yellow/green wire is the YE/LG for the power seat motor. Although, this circuit is hot all the time I believe, not only when the ignition is on.
Well Sous thanks for looking for me. I will have to stop for today as the DW is nagging me about working on the truck on Thanksgiving, Besides the turkey is almost done on the smoker. I did find that the wire goes all the way across the floor and up the post between the front and rear seats on the passenger side. Also all the courtesy lights work as far as I can tell.
Will look further tomorrow. Thanks.
