Cool Need HELP!!

Today I was running coax cable for my CB antenna and in doing so I ran it under the carpet which meant taking the plastic floor thing off and pulling up the drivers side carpet. As I was putting stuff back together something caught my eye, there was a burnt wire in the factory wiring harness. Apparentaly the wire has been burnt for some time now by the looks of the corosive on the copper wire. I got my test light out and tested it and lo and behold it was still hot and in water. Now my PROBLEM is I need to find a wiring diagram to see where and what it goes to. I have looked on here a little bit for a diagram and can't find one. Does anyone know where I can find one on the internet????? I do not have the money to go and buy a manual from a parts store so that idea is out the door.

Most wiring diagrams are broken up into individual systems or circuits. it would be impossible to give you all the diagrams to find the problem. It would be easier to post up what the wire color is and the exact location of the problem, as well as year and model of the truck.

sorry 95F-150 4x4 302, it looks like it's a green wire running from the driver side kick panel along the thresh hold to the drivers side corner interior panel. I didn't have time to take the cab corner panel off to c where it goes yet

I suspect it's a Light Green wire with a Yellow strip on it. If it's live without the key on, it's the power wire for the interior/Map lights.
If you pull out fuse #8 from the fuse panel under the dash and the wire goes dead, you'll know what it is for sure.

ok ty I will try this in the morning, I do know that the 2 over head lights that u can turn on manually don't work but the middle light works when the door opens. That could be the reason I couldn't get them to work after putting new bulb's in them..lol

Your dome light is also powered by the LG/Y wire, but after the switches in the door jam, the wire color is Black/Light Blue to the dome light.
Is the LG/Y broken apart at the burn point? Was it possibly pinched somehow? I always try to determine what happened so it doesn't happen again.

it is hard to tell exactly where the break actually started cause there is probably 6 inches of wire unaccounted for. When I re run it I will put an extra cover over it and tape the crap out of it as well
