I have a motor in my 71 F-100. I was told it was a 390. The front of the block does hav”352” stamped on it and the numbers on the passenger side of the block are “C6ME-A which what I can find is a 330. The flywheel I bought was for a 71 FE 390. The bolt hole do not line up ( tried rotating it also). But by what I’ve read it should fit. Can someone please give me a direction to go?
This is the flywheel. It ran with an 11” clutch. I bought a bigger clutch, pressure plate and flywheel ( 12” ) I have tried every bolt pattern. Moving it one at a time. Thinking maybe I just didn’t have it lined up right. But unfortunately not the case. Just can’t figure out what I need to buy now.

Casting numbers on the outside of the block are not helpful for determining displacement on an FE as C6ME-A is 66 casting date but displacement could be anything. Got any pictures of the motor, flywheel or part numbers?
The block will have 352 on it, it can still be a 352, 360 or 390. The flywheel only lines up one way so if you tried all 8? Positions for the bolts then you have an issue.

The front of the block does has ”352” stamped on it (doesn't mean a damn thing!) and the numbers on the passenger side of the block are “C6ME-A which what I can find is a 330.

352/360 uses an 11" clutch, 390 uses an 11 1/2" clutch, but you can use either as long as you have the correct diameter flywheel.
C5AZ-6375-K .. 352/360 Flywheel - Use with 11" clutch / (6) 5/16" -18 pressure plate attaching holes on a 12 3/8" bolt circle.
C5AZ-6375-L .. 390 Flywheel - Use with 11 1/2" clutch / (6) 5/16" -18 pressure plate attaching holes on a 12 7/8" bolt circle.
352 cast on the block is a foundry mark, does notmean that the engine is a 352! Casting numbers are foundry marks, cannot be cross referenced to Ford part numbers.
On sale day, 352's and 360's magicallybecome 390's!
I believe all internal balance FE flywheels started out from the same blank and then were machined differently, the 11" clutch wheels have the smaller PP bolt pattern and are flat all the way across to the recess for the crank flange bolts, while the 11 1/2" wheels have the larger bolt pattern and have an additional step machined into the edge of the recess for the crank flange bolts, its just my speculation but I believe this to be for clearance for a larger center spring hub on the 11 1/2 " disc.Another thing I've noticed about the larger bolt pattern wheels is that the crank flange bolt holes are spot faced,I have 8 flywheels 4 11" and 4 11 1/2" the large pattern ones all have the step and spot facing while none of the small pattern ones have either. While it would be possible to have a machine shop drill and tap the larger pattern,I would double check clearance of the spring hub to the flywheel before I got to far along it may also require machining the additional step too.
