little help with my FE
This is what i got trying to find what flywheel i need. After looking at some #'s i'm not even sure what motor i got now. it has a Edelbrock 390 Performer intake on it.
Block cast # C8ME
Head cast # C8AE-H
Date code 5J10
The flywheel that was on it was D2TE-6368-BA but its two big for the bellhousing i got for the NP435 its rubbing on the inside of it and the starter wont line up with it.

Just to confuse the issue, I looked in Steve Christ's Big Block Ford Engine book, Chapter 3 - if he's right, your C8AE -H heads were used on '68 (and presumably later) 360/390/428. Your C8ME block was used on '66 - '70 428s (and some FT engines). If I were you, I'd check the stroke to see if it's 3.78 for a 390, or 3.98 for a 428. If it's the 428 then it has to be externally balanced. The 5J10 date code doesn't seem to fit. Don't know what to say about that. Good luck!
