I'm all set to begin replacing my oil cooler when I get a P2262 code on my 2007 F550 with 70,000 hard miles. The truck has been sitting for a while as it has been relegated to back up duty. What would be my best course of action; trying to get the code issue taken care of first or replacing the oil cooler and checking possible causes of the code along the way?
Metal CAC tubes were standard on later models and are easy to find at dismantlers and pickupart yards. Just as good as new ones and may have good boots too. I think one or more of the 7.3 boots interchange too.
