@Jimmy's Pilot Service ... one has to admit, not many 99-03 members have a private aircraft to the left, and a Class A diesel pusher motorhome to the right, of their 7.3L in their garages.
FTN and I have talked offline about a second version (FTN LED v2.0) of the headlight he has created, but as he mentioned there has been no real need so far. At one point I was very interested in attempting to duplicate a set of the FTN headlights, but backed off since I rarely drive my truck in hours of darkness.
As anyone can see (pun intended), there are many options available with prices and time involved all over the map. Having options is a good thing!
I'm probably opening a Pandora's box here, but.....
I'm in need of some new headlights. I replaced the bulbs which has done wonders, but now that we are getting into the cold, dark part of the year, I need more adequate lighting.
I upgraded my 2001 to the clear 2002 style headlights and used
.....night and day difference to the stock halogens. I had a post here where I show the new visibility in a few pics on hi/low beams.
Give it a shot...only $40. I drive through a deer/elk herd migration trail on my way to work.....see at least 2 new ones a day sleeping soundly. The white light reflects on the deer and gives it much more visibility from farther away.
Had to add LED fogs (amber) for snow driving.....not a fan of the Millennium Falcon effect in blizzards. haha
Look at Riffraff I think I paid about $325 for the lights and the new pig tails. and got the clips and screws at Lowes for a few bucks as I wanted the black pan-head screws and they had them.
