Any suggestions on a good source for replacement headlight assemblies for my 98 F150 XLT? I saw several aftermarket assemblies and don’t know which is good or cheap junk. I would also like to purchase with LED upgrade, not have to pay extra to upgrade my new headlight assemblies.
However, if you are thinking of replacing them just due to the lenses getting dull and foggy, they do offer kits to bring them back to clear. NAPA sells them, or if you don't want to do it yourself, a good detailer can buff them back to life.
They look nice, and they were brighter than the originals, but that might have been just due to the fogging of the OEM lenses. The problem is that the lighted range is very narrow, so you can't see the ditches at all and nothing right in front of you. And they still aren't as bright as most of the vehicles that pass me, even though I have Philips CrystalVision Ultra bulbs. I put a review with pics on Amazon.
Yeah I'm curious as well. I bought some LED tail lights from Ebay and they look awesome.
I don't want to jack the thread, but how do they look in the daytime? A lot of aftermarket LED lights I've seen look great at night, but are barely visible in daylight.
