Please help
I have a 97 7.3 f350 daully 2wd automatic. My first question is does anyone know about "707" industry's? 2 and main question, my truck at 149,000 miles. bought the truck in ga when i got close to home 3hrs later on NCthe truck's fuel filter light came on, i changed the fuel filter. Now i can start it let it idle for hours Rev the motor all day but after she goes into gear "any" gear she dies, and won't start back up for 10 to 15mins.

Never heard of 707 industries.

Was there alot of gunk in the fuel bowl when you changed the filter?

Could be the pump acting up, not keeping fuel delivery up when a load is applied.

The fuel bowl seemed clean. The bowl assembly and the fuel pumped looks like new parts. The seller unfortunately has ghosted me, and im left in the dark.. all my fluids seem to check out too. All functions in the cab work AC/heat, lights, windows. The check engine light came on after the fuel filter replacement.

707 sounds like a scam to me from the little i have read on it.

I did not pay for the 707 its just what the truck has on it

Is this a manual or auto trans truck?

Is there a sensor that bumps the idle up on an auto truck? Or is that just controlled by pcm?

Just to rule it out, have you tried cranking it in neutral and shifting into gear?

@OBSorPOS? welcome to the forum! Sorry about your truck troubles.

The very first thing I would do is find out what codes are causing your check engine light.

For under $30 you can get a bluetooth OBDII adapter and app for your phone to do this. Check out the instructions here:

Hey thank you too everyone for the pointers. I think i have a torque converter issue. Now i need to know what kind is the best for my truck?

Without codes, you have no clue what your actual issue could be on the truck.

Best converter? Precision Industries. Period.

Checked the transmission fuild seems low. After a visual inspection she leaking at the U joints, and under the converter pin. Not good
