I was driving my truck when it started to Dog down so I checked the filter it was black, changed it ran fine it did that to 3 times in 2 weeks. Then it just stopped running, even with a new filter.I talked to a mechanic shop they said it was my pick up pump changed it then talked to a Ford mechanic who said try changing my cam sensor did it started but ran rough. Ran it for a while till it finally just died and wont start but turns over fine filter fills up with fuel good. I dropped both tanks to see if there was anything in them nothing clean as a whistle. I was told I might have blew an injector o ring and that's where the black oily film on the filter came from any ideas or suggestions?

 

Definitely a possibility, but when you removed the fuel tanks the fuel would of been black, try switching tanks, also just unplug the icp and try to start it if it runs replace it
