Interior Leak!!

Ok, so I've had my truck for about a year now and within the last 2 months on 2 separate occasions I have had water leak through the upper switch console (upfitter switches, interior lights, etc).
  • I don't have a moonroof so the drain tube issue is out.
  • I have clearance lights and after the first instance, I siliconed around the base of each one and thought that was it since there were no more leaks.
  • a week or so ago, another leak with water dripping from the interior light switch panel.
In both cases, the truck had been sitting through relatively heavy rainfalls. Could the windshield seal leak in a manner that would direct the water into the switch console area? There is no evidence of leaks on the windshield interior itself (water spots, condensation, etc). I really don't want to replace the windshield since I would need to have it re-tinted.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

A while back, RAM trucks had issues similar to that, and many of them turned out to be a leak around the CHMSL, the water running across the inside of the headliner.

The only locations water would enter that area of the roof is:

Sunroof, Clearance Lights, Rear Brake Light/CHMSL Camera, Sat and NAV Antennas. Check all those.

I had the same problem on my 2019, turned out to be one of the roof clearence lights gasket. Try checking to see if any are bad?

My '22 is leaking somewhere around the top of the drivers side windshield and drips out of the grab handle. Dealer had the windshield resealed and it's still leaking. I don't have a sunroof or clearance lights. Going back to the dealer when my new shock absorber comes in to replace the one that is leaking. I'll post up what they come up with.
Good Luck!

Worth noting there was a case of a bad cab seam causing a leak that poured out of the upfitters.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have already sealed around the clearance lights, but I will have to take a closer look at the CHMSL and the two antennae at the back of the cab. Hopefully, I can figure this out without going to the dealer.

Had that happen on a 2010 F150 and it was from the CHMSL. Sad part was Ford had issued a TSB on it, but as such, owners were never notified.

Exact same thing happened on my 2010. Resealing the CHMSL with butyl caulk fixed the problem.

Evidently this was my problem also. Cab to door seam under the trim wasn't sealed correctly at the factory.

2021 F350 water collecting on Driver's floor with heavy rain, but can't see water leaking in. I have been to Dealer, they check sunroof drains, said roof marker light was culprit. Fast forward got a pond on the floor board again. Going back to the dealer again next week. only 5k miles.

Look in the driver side wheel well towards the cab and make sure you aren't missing a rubber plug, Should be 3 of them.

Well, this is a timely resurrection... I resealed the CHMSL and roof marker lights last fall and as luck would have it during a big thaw last week, snow on my roof melted and I once again had water dripping from the overhead console. The only culprit now is the cab seam. I will pull the trim and have a look to reseal both sides.

i've been buying super duty's since the old ragged out one I bought in high school and haven't had an interior leak yet

a co-worker new 20 denali hd diesel a few years ago and it did have a leak among other problems but GM fixed everything under warranty and I think he hasn't had any recent problems
