I have a 2004 6.0 bought the truck and was told the ficm was going out (got truck dirt cheap so what was wrong doesn't really matter) get it home and has a miss from cold to hot rough idle and lope plugged in my reader and got a local code for cyl 7 contribution code went ahead replaced injector for 7 code went away and truck ran awsome 2 hours later I'm driving it and it starts running rough again same symptoms and this time cyl 2 missfire so I pulled the ficm and the plugs no longer clicked into it as well as harness was pretty rough went ahead and ordered new ficm new harness for injectors and blue spring kit
I'd be putting in a fuel pressure gauge first before you put the MOTORCRAFT Blue spring kit in so you know what you had, and if low fuel pressure was the cause of injector failure.

ok does it sound more like ficm or fuel pressure I'll pick up a gauge
The fuel pressure gauge is a great idea. I put on a non Motorcraft blue spring kit from Amazon and was seeing well over 80 psi. Swapped the kit for the Motorcraft part and I’m around 55-58 now depending on temps.
Another important aspect is monitoring. If you use an Android phone, get a obd2 Bluetooth adapter and the Torque or Forscan app. I use both. You’ll be able to read a lot of data, including the FICM voltage which could let you know if that’s an issue. When I got my 03 Excursion, FICM voltage would be about 40 at cold start and eventually 47-48. I replaced my FICM with one from Ed at FICM repair. I got the ultra version and had them flash the 80hp Atlas tune on it.

so it's possible to have to much fuel pressure ?

Definitely, though I couldn’t tell you for sure what that number is. I’ve seen quotes stating pressures over 80 can cause issues and others saying the injectors can handle 100-120. I believe that somewhere around 60psi is what you want at idle and a bit less under wot.
It’s one of the few parameters that are important on these engines that none of the apps or tuning devices can read from the ecm, so it’s a vital gauge to have in my opinion. I did fuel pressure, egt, and boost on mine in addition to running the torque app on my headunit. At some point, when I figure out where to put additional gauges, I plan to add a coolant pressure gauge.

Thanks man I went ahead and ordered a fuel pressure gauge as well maybe I just have an issue there atleast I know ficm and harness won't be an issue for awhile
Another thing do these trucks monitor hpop or do you read icp to get the readings without using an analog gauge
