When I first got my ‘57, it had some aftermarket non-vehicle specific tail lights that really didn’t fit well and they stuck out… unevenly ta’ boot! Every time i walked behind the truck, those ugly rubber spacers made my eyes hurt. LOL
The PO had cut the inside of the mounting area to accommodate the weird lights he put in there.
I finally founds some nice round bright LED replacements that fit perfectly.
I’m not 100% sure but based on where the metal should have been, these new light assemblies may very well be drop-in ready for others. They come with the connector and wire although I’ll still have to add length to drop underneath to connect to tail light harness (including the ground wire).
Thought I would share as others have asked where I got the PO tail lights and i just said they came with… but now these are desirable. I’ll need to drill some small holes to accommodate the Stainless Steel pan head #8 sheet metal screws that will hold these in place. NOTE: using a very small drill bit then progressing larger as the hole will ride the small ridge to avoid getting the hole off the mark. Don’t want the screws going in cattywampus or cockeyed.
I like how these sit flush to the body vs sticking out unevenly with the big rubber grommet. Might even put a small rubber U-shaped grommet just to avoid the edge of the light assembly coming into direct contact with the painted body.
Depending on how it works out, I may install threaded rivets to accommodate stainless steel machine screws with socket pan head or star so they cannot be easily removed (five finger discount shopping, etc).
Lights look good. Where did you buy them? I bought a tool called a hand rivet nut and setter kit and have used it a bunch. You have to get a small bite, then another.
Here is a link to the lights I just purchased off Amazon in a 2 pack. They appear to be identical to the OP's lights.
Fit is perfect with no sheet metal alterations other than the screw holes. I do not have them installed yet.
Yes. Those are the exact ones I purchased. Only thing i did was create a rubber grommet so the edge of the metal bezel didn’t rub on the paint. Had to drill new holes. Was planning on putting in threaded rivets so i could use machine screws… still a work in progress. Sorry for late response here and PM… been swamped.
Anyone have a current Amazon link to these led tail lights?
The led tail lights installed are exactly what I’m looking for. But the Amazon link is not working. Does anyone have a current link so I can order a pair of these round led tail lights for my 1963 f100?

We use those LED lights on our big truck trailers and we use stainless pop rivits to hold them in hard to steal that way! (Looking good )
