There are lots of threads about cab lights with good instructions so I won't do all that, but I do like the lights so I put some Ford lights on the truck.
I used the forklift at work to get up to the roof, was thinking about two step ladders and a plank, but this worked well and was easy.
Put the rolling staircase next to the fork lift to get up to the pallet on the forks.
Did the painters tape thing to make my marks and protect the paint
The set I bought of Ebay was all factory Ford lights and Ford wire harness, but what really made it easy were the detailed instructions and the template to drill the holes.
After drilling 3 1/8" holes for each light you go back and enlarge to 1/4" and 7/8"
Three in...
Four in... don't have a picture with all Five
The Ford wire harness made it so easy, perfect length, clips built in to attach to holes already there and it plugs into a plug on the passenger side foot well, no cutting and splicing. Took about 3 hours, lots of time double checking measurements before first hole, after that no turning back and just start making hole like it was nothing.
P.S. I know the truck is dirty, but rain is in the forecast...
