I have a 2021 F350 6.7. It breaks my heart that Ford decided to lower the '20 and newer models, so I want to raise mine back up to what my 2018 F350 height was...basically raise it by 2". I'm all set with figuring out how to do the rear, but what about the front? Since no one can say definitively if Ford put in shorter 5990 springs in the '20 and newer to achieve the drop, my only real option is to add a level kit to the front. My question is whether or not adding a level kit to the front will adversely affect its plowing ability? If this is an option for me, do any of you have advice as to which kit to get? Also plan on adding Bilstein 5100 shocks at this time as well.
In case it makes any difference, my truck is: 2021 F350 6.7 XL FX4 regular cab...with snow plow and camper prep packages.
I plow with a 2" level, doesn't cause any issues. As far as what to get, search the level threads as there's tons of good info on different ways, caster, axle shift, track bar etc..
Dang... If my 22 was any taller it wouldn't fit in my garage! I have the plow prep on my gas truck and went to 35" tall tires. When they mounted the plow it came out perfect, no adjustments needed. The only pitfall is that you need to have the correct height on your plow mount. So if you have it mounted already it may need to be adjusted down if you raise the front of the truck. If all you plow is pavement it probably isn't a big issue but if the plow frame ends up with a down angle instead of riding flat you could have issues. Once set up properly the level will not affect plowing as mentioned.
Thanks for the comments morehouse7 and Ridgeway SD. Good to hear I shouldn't have any issues. But now I have a new thing to worry about, hahaha, the plowframe I had on my 2018 F350 was moved over to my 2021 when I bought it...hopefully it doesn't need any adjustments!
