I purchased a used 2020 Ford F150. Once I download the app, enter the vin, and then press "Activate Vehicle" is says "Activation Currently Unavailable - Another user is currently in the activation process causing any new activations to be unavailable". I have called Fordpass a t least 7 times now. They always have me do the same things (master reset a LOT), then they say we have to elevate the case and someone will call me in 3-5 business days (which NO ONE HAS EVER CALLED ME BACK). Then after 6 or 7 business days I CALL THEM BACK and we start the SAME thing all over again. I have been trying since April 9th 2022 to activate my fordpass and still no one will call me back. I took my vehicle in to the dealership and had the service department look at it. It STILL is not working. Their techs can see my system. They can see my fuel level, oil live, mileage, etc. I CANNOT be the first or ONLY person to experience this. It cannot be this difficult to solve.
Sometime back I had read an article about a man that rented a Ford car from an Enterprise maybe. Anyway, he downloaded the app and added the VIN, however, when he turned the vehicle back in, he couldn't remove the vehicle from his account. According to the article, he had tried calling Ford to have them fix it, as well as the rental company, but never could. I don't know how to fix it, but it sounds like it has been an issue in the past too. You may be able to contact the dealer and have them to make contact with the person that they bought it from and see if he can delete it from his end. Other than that, I don't know... Good luck.
