Question owner.ford.com Anyone else having trouble ?

I bought a 2017 F-250 a week or 10 days ago. Been trying to create an account at the Ford site so I can see and use some of the features offered. Can't seem to create an account no matter what I do.Keeps saying "something went wrong - try again later" or :something unexpected happened - try again later". Anyone else have these types of issues?

I worked my way through the phone setup and that working OK. Except it won't read text messages. Not sure if it should or not.

I just tried to log in and got and error. Don't know what it's doing.

Yeah, the site seems to be pretty flaky these days. I gave ‘em a “zero” on the on-line survey.

iPhone or Android..

If it’s an iPhone and you want the system to read text messages, one has to make a simple change in their iPhone.

Also, the Owner.Ford website does act weird sometimes so just keep trying.
It might be better to try it early in the morning when not so many people are trying to use it.

Finally made it into the site last night, registered and downloaded the SYNC update. V-e-r-y badly designed website IMHO.

I agree. Owner.ford and parts.ford are both HORRIBLE sites. They need to be totally redone.

I got it to work (accept a service on the wife’s Explorer) on my iPhone last night. The desktop is still a no go.

I'm able to login just fine this morning. A little slow, but no issues with it.

Well, that didn't work! Put the SYNC update on a USB thumb drive as directed, put it in truck and truck says "USB takes too much power - please remove" (paraphrasing). What now I wonder.

Was the truck running when you inserted the USB?

owner.ford.com is redirecting to ibmcloud.com for a login. I don't remember it doing that. My password manager won't recognize that as the site I've been using.

I can log in but I can't adjust my communication preferences (most significantly, the one that tells them it's okay if they email me a PCO). Mildly frustrating but it's a relief that I'm not alone.

I don't know what's going on with those having issues. I just tried again, and other than a bit slow, it came up no problem.

Jim, not sure why your USB gave you that error. That is weird.
