Hard shifting
I’ve got a 1996 f350 with 270k. The E40D was having problems about 10k miles ago so I had it rebuilt and the problem persists. It shifts from 1st to 2nd smoothly but rpms will come right up to the redline before slamming into gear, but if I let off the gas before then it will shift very smoothly. I’ve replaced the speed sensor and the bps and have had psom repairs with module mechanics. Ive never put a tuner on it but have noticed 2 holes drilled into the dash for a tuner mount from the previous owner. What can I do about my shift points?
