Well this fall I have been enjoying the tonner! Its been a blast to have it out. The 3.73s out back work wonders. Flathead is running like a top, oil change reveals a clean bill of health. Im still not done with the truck as there are a few things I need to do/tweak (carb, window glass, speedo cable, bed wood, and list goes on) But I am pleased where I ended up for the year. As per usual old cars are never done. I took it out to a family members farm, touched up some photos for fun, thought Id share since they look old. Included some non edited ones. The rigs going to spend the winter out at the farm so I can get started on my next project, an old Ford, but not a truck, sorry guys. LOL
Not much to see at this time but I picked up a 1968 Mustang coupe in January. Finally started working on it, call me crazy but I am doing a fastback conversion. I installed new torque boxes and finishing up the toe boards, then a new floor before I start cutting the roof off. You can buy the fastback inner structure sheet metal and quarters and roof so these conversions are getting popular. I know its a coupe vin but I could care less.
The prices of fastbacks are getting a little out hand to say the least and its my dream car. This car is getting a full restore too so it should take me 5 years or so. If Im ready for another project after this maybe Ill do a 1957-1960 F250 or F350. One of my favorite ford trucks.
