Heater core?

2000 v10 leaking anti-freeze from what I think is the AC drain on the firewall, on the passenger side. Thinking heater core, so I was going to plug the lines... There are a million connections on these lines. Anyone ever done this? Putting the truck away for the winter at the end of October, figuring to tackle the heater core then. I am told it is a huge job... Would greatly appreciate first-hand experience with this issue!

The heater core is not bad to replace. The worst is the quick connect fittings on the heater core. Your best bet is to break the hard lines on the core itself by wiggling them back forth and then you can pull the hose back to cut off the connector and replace it. Remove as much as you can in the area to give yourself enough room to reach back there to get at the hard lines. It's a right squeeze.
