Please identify this part...

This is a 95' f150 4x2 with an i6. What is the part just to the right of the two hoses going into the firewall to the heater core, covered with the metallic insulation???

Two years ago I replaced my heater core due to it leaking. I noticed some antifreeze leaking onto my floorboard again the other day, so I yanked it apart, but everything around the heater core seems dry. It seems to be leaking out of the bottom of this part.

I'm looking all through my Chilton's, but it's not offering me much help. It is for ford trucks 1987-93, but I don't see why this would be a problem.

Thanks!

That is your vacuum reservoir for the ventilation system.

What should I check if there's coolant leaking around that area?

I'm pretty sure the hoses going to my heater core aren't leaking.

I've already got the heater core out and no leaks there. Gonna have to get back under there this weekend, maybe I'll be able to see something else.
