Hey guys! Just joined the 6.0 diesel crew. Was an idi guy for a long time but have moved to the power stroke world. Got a great deal on a f350 dulley king ranch and am doing the usual maintenance. Here is the thing, looking for the right interior transmission filter. As of now the best I can figure is the motocraft FT144? Thanks in advance. And hope to get to know you guys.

Thanks, already have that filter. Just looking for the interior one. The fluid is already drained so I might as well swap it out now

The pan filter is just a screen. What a lot of folks do is buy the '08+ trans pan and its filter. The way the 6.0s came stock, the little canister filter up under the passenger side bumper area will only see a slip stream of fluid to the filter (<10%), and it only gets this fluid stream if or when the trans fluid gets warm, 160-170 deg F. Whereas the '08 filter is 100% of fluid in circulation (and also is a superior media), This filter does have a 60K mile change interval. When you do the upgrade, you still want to keep the up front canister filter (even a clogged one), as without it less trans fluid goes to the coolers...
Tech section has all the info., and welcome to the 6.0 side!
I'll second that recommendation and add that the money makes sense pretty quickly. The new pans aren't much then you only change the filter every, IIRC, 60k miles.
I recommend the 2008 pan and filter, DieselSite external filter and delete the toilet paper filter up front. DieselSite sells a kit to delete the front bypass filter or you can make your own lines. I’m about to post a DIY thread with fitting sizes, line length and routing etc. while I’m swapping in a Sam Wyse Stage 2 transmission in a couple of weeks. I had a case of disappearing transmission fluid that ruined my transmission...just pulled the transfer case and transmission two days ago and somehow only captured about 12 quarts of fluid...
