Ill have to do some more research but I would like to see the compressor map for that turbo. I have a feeling that a 43mm will be a choke point for that engine. What size exhaust housing is on it?

If memory serves, its 2 inches exit port but im not sure. Id Id h to check next time im im back in the shop (I work 4 hrs away from home).
the stock system is going to need upgrading, no 2 ways about it. Hell the factory fuel pump wont even keep up.
I know you say 7 lbs. But you need to prepare for 14 or 20... or what ever that turbo can supply. For the simple reason of unplanned boost increases. Failure of a boost controller, stuck waste gate, etc...
I learned this all to well years ago when racing and had a wastegate failure that nuked a perfectly good engine that was tuned just fine for where it was being run. Many, many sub 9 high 8 second runs with zero issues. Then one pass the gate didnt open, and the only indication was needing to grab high gear sooner than normal. Not having the boost gauge in a "good" visual field was a bad idea i will admit that now.
The map sensor was only a 2 bar, and the tune was good for 20 psi because the car was gated for 14, no need for anything else right. Wrong so very, very wrong. Not sure what boost it actually made, because of the 2 bar, but the rate of rise was so steep i would wager mid 30s maybe more.
It did coast to a 8.54 @154 after losing power at 1/8 mile.
So yeah, always plan for more boost than you ever plan on running.
He'll tell you "no", cause nothing else was stock on that setup but the long-block.
The stock EFI systems on these trucks isn't much good for doing anything other than stock things. It's not designed to be particularly tunable. I can't see any combination of parts that you're going to combine with a turbo, on any EEC-IV engine, that is going to allow you to not go to a piggyback like the Quarterhorse, or a complete ECM replacement, like the PimpX, or Holley TerminatorX
