As I'm looking at other peoples rigs I'm not seeing many people with the molded hood deflectors. Just wondering if there is any reason to that and if I should pull it off my order.
I put the Weather Tech product # 50271 on our '22 F250 Super Duty XLT, and like it a lot. Fits perfectly, easy installation, looks great. It does cover up the Super Duty lettering on the front of the hood, but I'd rather have that than chipped paint. $79.95 from Amazon.

IMO, and to each, his own.
Hood deflectors are a dated look. Clean, uncluttered is class.
Personally, I used xPel on the leading edges of my truck.
If you look at show class Peterbilts today, completely stripped back and clean is so much mire attractive. All of that front end junk like light poles, roof horns, hood deflectors, chrome Doo-dads, hood ornaments and chicken lights are in the dumpster..
I had a coworker years ago who got a molded hood deflector. Turned out that debris and stuff liked to get down in there between the hood and deflector and it chewed up his paint. No hood deflectors for me after seeing that.
I’ve had them on every truck I’ve had for 25 years. I like them although effectiveness could be questioned and can damage paint if not installed correctly. They’re much improved from the tall flat ones of the 80’s! I added the OEM (from Ford) one to my truck. It looks great and protects the leading edge from chips. However mine has discolored for some reason and noticed the other day it was loose. When I went I tighten it I discovered three of the plastic brackets are broken. I’m looking for a replacement or will pull it off completely.

I'm in your camp on this product. It didn't bother me 1 millisecond that I covered up the SD lettering on the front of the hood. I have a black truck too and it blends in very nicely too.
