I have the one from the dealer on my 2020 that has “Super Duty” embossed in it. I mainly got it to protect the paint on the front of the hood and I figured it would be pretty hidden on a black truck. I like PPF but on black I felt like if I did it I would have seen the line if I only did the leading edges.
I don't know about deflecting bugs. But I do know that prior to putting the deflector on, the big flat front of the hood was getting pretty chipped up. Now it won't.
I went with the plain chrome shield from Ford. The front hood was starting to get small stone chips, plus I like the finish chrome look to go with the rest of the chrome front.
Do you have the part number for this hood deflector. I tried to find it in the Ford a accessories list but couldn't find one in chrome. I would like to fit one, ideally with the super duty embossed, to my '22 F250.

Finally got it installed. Now I need to replace the clips that hold the rubber seal in place that had to be removed to gain access to mount holes. No biggie just a trip to store
What is the 2022 part number for this? I looked up the part number above in a previous post, and it says it's for 17-19, not 20-22. I need to complete my full "non-hip" transition and get one of these for my 22 KR with Cab lights.
My experience is that these deflectors do NOTHING to prevent bugs and rocks from hitting the windshield.
I beg to differ. I installed an Aeroskin II on my 22 F-250 after about a month of driving without it, and the amount of bugs hitting my windshield is night and day better. You can actually see them coming at you, then diverting off to the side. To each his own on looks, but I think form follows function and the matte black texture matches the rest of the black trim up front.
put mine on a few weeks ago and i noticed in the instructions to not go through car washes with blowers.
anyone ignore this
My Aeroskin II is taped down and the instructions say go ahead and use any car wash you want. I've been through my wash with rotating brushes at least a dozen times with no trouble at all.

At 65-85 MPH, you would need a 1’ tall hood wing to help with bugs.
That little lip does nothing.

Last time I had a bug shield was on our Suburban, but I agree, it helped with bugs.
