2000 Ford: (Has had Ford Accessories Contoured Bug Shield since new); Owned 20 years, still on original windshield with the original, now faded, KTP sticker, no chips or cracks in the original glass.
2011 Ford: (No bug shield); Owned 10 years, had 5 windshield replacements due to rock chips, front of hood is also dented in two places. Maybe I should put a bug shield on this one. Not sure why I haven't yet.
It won't be a controlled experiment but my winshield has been awful with bug guts on my long drives lately, 10-14 hours and at every fill up the windshield gets clean. We'll see over the next few drives if it get less now.
Anybody know if the 2017-19 part number is still good for the 2020-2022? Would like to order one today, and everything seems to indicate that the part number provided above is only good for 2017-19......thoughts?
I installed the AVS Bugdeflector II. I like the way it covers the fenders too. I’m old school. I’ve had deflectors on my trucks since my 78 F150. That thing stood straight up and down and probably acted like an air brake😆
Everybody looking for the factory chrome SUPER DUTY hood deflector, I am sorry to tell you I bought the last NOS one in the country. After 2 weeks of internet searches and many many phone calls I found one in Texas (I'm in Ohio), Parts guy was real cool gave me a big discount to cover shipping and tax. AND it arrived in ! piece!!! May be more out there but be prepared for "computer says we have one but I can't find it"
