it won’t start unless it’s unplugged and also noticed that the clicking kinda noise when your heating your plugs to start isn’t there when the icp is plugged in. When it’s unplugged the noise is there and it starts. I assume that noise is glow plugs heating up? Idk could be wrong but I’m stumped. Just replaced the icp and pigtail again. Soldered connections. Along with the ipr and pigtail with soldered connections as well. Using nothing but Ford parts
I am asking about the reference voltage, not the ICP voltage.
In modern vehicle design, 5-volt reference signals/circuits are a key aspect of vehicle command and control. The 5-volt reference signal typically “flows through a sensor containing a resistance that varies according to changes in temperature, pressure or position.
It is the supply voltage to critical sensors. It is a separate PID in the PCM, just like ICP voltage is.
