Best to have it evacuated and all the moisture boiled off and recharged to make sure the amount is good....Back in the day I would charge till the return line at the compressor was getting cold... Its easy to over charge. Temps will go down if you do.
did that. Vacuumed (vacuum running) to 29 in/hg for an hour. Filled with 42 ounces. Blew warmer than it does now running a few ounces less.
I’m convinced it’s the cooling fan. Even though I’m seeing 850ish RPM at idle. There’s not enough air moving over the condenser. It’s currently about 92 degrees outside and I’m idling with 42 degree vent temps on the 2nd fan speed setting. On 3 it comes up to 44. I’m calling it good with current charge and all that.
42 fluid oz or 42 weight oz? Either way 42 sounds high. You can't go by can fluid oz volume. It is weight and not fluid oz. I think you are way overcharged.

weight. Everything I’ve seen online says “2 lb 10 oz” for my year vehicle. In the threads where people ask the most common answer is “check the sticker under the hood” which isn’t very helpful when that sticker is missing. So all I can go by is what I find in a google search.
