2001 f250 V10. Trying to take the AC compressor out and the back bolt broke. Now the compressor hits the frame and won't come down far enough to get it out. Only solution I can see is to jack up the engine and don't know if it will go up high enough.
Can you pull the AC compressor out until it hits the frame and then cut more of the bolt off? I'm not familiar with how it looks, but that is the direction I would head. I wouldn't cut the bolt flush, but just take off what I needed to get the AC compressor out. Then work on getting the rest of the bolt out.

Gonna try getting the Dremel in there. Really scared of cutting it off too short
Thanks for the suggestion 89LX306 . Gave me the courage to try..lol. I managed to get the sawsall in there and cut the bolt. I guess all the vibration helped a lot. The rest of the bolt screwed out with just my fingers.

With luck on your side like that you might want to go and buy a lottery ticket.

Glad I could help. It is a lot easier to make suggestions for someone else to cut their truck than it is to cut on your own. Glad it worked out well for you.
