then move on to your Ram forum. i don't get why non owners feel the need to give their two cents over and over even when they say they are buying another brand. Usually, when people figure out what they are going to buy, they don't continue to post on their "non choice" sites. Geeez Charlie Brown, shouldn't you go find some online friends that you have something in common with?
As for recalls, the difference between Ford and RAM? Ford proactively recalls and FCA (now Stellantis) has to be sued to do them. At any rate, is it really the best use of your time ranting here? Problaby not. Good luck with your RAM
If you would read a few posts up you'll realize all of the panty ruffling was about my opinion of Chevy/GMC hd trucks having the best ride. The OP asked about ride quality and I told him about my recent experience test driving all 3 brands. I'm not a Ram fan. Trust me, I've seen enough on this forum to realize I don't want a Ford and don't need the headache so I won't be on the forum much longer.
Try the new Ford. They made big improvements in ride with the 2020 update. Our 2021 F350 rides quite a lot better than our 2018 F250 did.
And that is something they keep working on all the time. My ‘15 and my ‘16 F350 CCLB DRW both rode better than my ‘11 CCSB F250 did. Even though there were no “apparant” changes in those models.
I'll never own a FIAT product again. They are absolute garbage. Dodge, Ram Jeep whatever have been the only manufactures in the many I've driven to actually leave me stranded. The Jeeps have been the worse.
Swing your swords freely and wildly at the trucks, the brands, the manufacturers, the quality, the reliability (or lack thereof), the competition, etc.
But please sheath your swords when it comes to other members. Our FTE User Guidelines forbid personal attacks.
Been driving new Super Duty's since 2017. Currently have a 2019 F350 with a 6.7.
Took a drive today and test drove a new Ram 2500 Mega Cab. All I can say is WOW!!!!
What a nice ride. Made me really think about what my next truck is going to be.
Anyone have a comments? Either way?
Are you a thrill seeker naturally?
I like most all trucks, but can only afford the one that I drive.
There is alot of great information exchanged on this site, so keep it comming!
This seems to be a sensitive subject, and I have enjoyed reading it.

Yes, some folks take brand loyalty a bit too far. Wnen I lived and worked in the northland…..ND, MT, WY; it seemed to me that Ford dealers were the best for parts availability, etc. So I pretty much stayed with them. GM dealers seemed to be the worst. I did have a coupple of 60’s C-10’s that were ok; but pretty light duty with coil spring rear suspension. Back then IMO Dodge was out-doing themselves on the ability to make ugly trucks!!! They were great at that!!!! GM, in 1973 really screw up the seating position and head room for me. I did buy an ‘83 GMC with the “NEW” 6.2 L diesel, supposedly built by Detroit Diesel…….that was a total POS and either GM corporate or the dealer burned me on some warrant repairs, so no more GM for me after that. My wife currently has a Buick En-something and she kind of has to jump through hoops to just get it. Serviced at the local dealer here in NW AZ. Both Ford and RAM dealers here seem to be pretty accomodating so it is kind of a wash on that part.
If not taken care of they will all break…..most likely at the wrong time.
And currently, GM wins in the ugly department, while IMO, both Ford and RAM are make some damn sharp looking trucks!
I’ve had too many problems with Chrysler products that I just don’t think I could do it. I’ve never owned a Ram. Known plenty who did and their experiences are mixed. Maybe I’m overly brand-loyal, but Ford and Toyota have served me well while everything else has been a disappointment. Those are the only brands I even consider anymore.
The family had 15 different f series from 1968-1978, 2 Chevys (1980,1984) both we watched rust in front of our eyes.....I owned a 1994 ford and now a 2021. Other then a bad c4 trans in our 75, fords just ran.....period. The Chevys ate cams and rusted fast. Never had a dodge. Looked at them, never would own one. I rented a 2020 once on a trip..... Quite, road ok....the power band was way off with the gears it had. I could count to 3 before it took off.
I liked my dodge caravan. I loved my 06 LJ!!!! I will always love my Ford Trucks.
To sum all this up in a nutshell; If someone thinks they can show me a brand that won’t break……I can point out examples of how it will!
If someone thinks brand XXX stands behind their product better, I can find examples of them not.
And the list goes on.
They are all overpriced POS that will quit or break just when you need it the most!
If someone is a fan boy of any one brand, it is probably best to bring your own vaseline!

This is true, none of them are perfect. I have always tried to buy what I thought was the best for my needs at the time. I had a great experience with a '99 F350 PSD, marginal luck with 2001 and 2003 Chevy Duramax trucks, excellent luck with half a dozen '03-036 Dodge Cummins trucks because I wouldn't gamble on Ford 6.0, which proved to be a huge problem for them. My 2010 Raptor was an awesome truck, my 2012 F250 has been bomber tough. My '15 Ram Power Wagon was awful. The GM and Ram trucks do not suit my needs currently but Ford is offering exactly what I want. I have had the best luck with Ford trucks, not to say they are perfect but the availability of a super cab short box, big gas engine on a proven HD chassis won my dollars this time.

Same for me. I used to be GM loyal but now days when your spending 50 + grand on a truck I try to find exactly what I want and need. I also research the latest trucks at the time and started to actually research them. Ford right now had the design I loved, the engine I feel is GREAT for my needs and reliability.
I've had GMC, Chevy, Jeep, Toyotas, Nissans. All of them have been actually great except the JEEP brand which is why I won't get a Ram at this point in time.
Mega cab rear seat reclines due to that space behind the seat, and the whole thing will fold flat to the floor, making a huge flat area for cargo or putting a mattress on, or animal cages or whatever.
My Mega cab as a sleeper berth...
Will be having to figure out how to make a similar setup in my new Lariat...
This is why a buddy of mine only buys the RAM Mega Cab trucks. It's the only truck that has the fold forward seats these days that has enough room for their 2 ~100lb dogs to comfortably travel with them.
How do you figure? The Mega Cab is the smallest of the big 3 and the RAM crew cab is nearly the size of a GM double cab and Ford supercab. The numbers don't lie, there is not a single measurement of the rear portion of a mega cab that is mega. The front of the cab also lacks 3" of legroom compared to its competitors.
What that leaves out though is how the MC backseat reclines quite a bit due to the space BEHIND the seat. That's what makes them more comfortable.
Now you have to care about your rear seat passengers comfort of course for that to be a purchasing concern. I wouldn't buy one because of it.
