Great idea!

I just leave my hitch home. A novel idea these days..
Love the entertainment of a trailer hitch thread. Such a basic thing that doesn’t need complexity, until someone decides to make the overly simple..complex..
I especially love the 100 pounder models with a dozen slots that need a fork lift to install.🤣.
I guess someone is always re-inventing the mouse trap.

The side openings sometimes do come in handy though.

I never leave at home. Many moons ago I was out of town and needed to tow unexpectedly. Yea, walmart is always close, but hate buying redundant chit.
Since then, I always leave it connected. Saved my wife’s JGC years ago when a woman installing makeup while driving rear ended her at about 20 mph. Pretty much totaled the Accord while the Jeep had not a scratch. Lesson learned.

neat idea as pointed out. problem is thieves. So that means three locks as I always keep a hitch on for bumper protection from idiots who can't park. Or, incase I need to adjust someones vehicle who blocked me in

Mine is a WDH so it's a little too big to fit on the end of the receiver. I keep the WDH in the trailer so I never forget to bring it to the storage lot.

I converted my ATV trailer to use a 2 5/16" ball so that if I do forget my simple ball mount at home I can always use the WDH.

Ford made it easy to add mods with the hitch. Made steps from 2.5 tubing and an old tractor step.

What flaps are those?

I might have to move the lights that I added where you put the rock guards. I like that idea!

I would also like to know what brand those flaps are?

I’ve got to look it up. Give me an hour.
They mount in a second. Snap and lock.

I'm trying to read what it says on the sticker, but I can't read it. I was going to do so research myself.

GeorgeC - I’d also like to know where you got the flaps. Thats a brilliant Idea and I like the idea of them being easily removable. I wanted towtector but they dont have a 3” option
