Towing mirrors

Does anyone know of an extendable towing mirror that will fit on a 1995 F-350 (i.e. superduty style)? The factory mirrors stink pulling an 8 ft wide trailer.

which factory
foldaway or the dinky ones?

not that its MUCH better but its still dfferent

If you have a foldaway, consider an add-on- mirror, a wide angle rearview clip on, and only point the outside mirrors at the blindspot beyond the rearview, using either an add on or a blindspot stick on mirror to point at the truck/ground.

I can show you what I mean on my truck unless you got the picture

Basically, expand your rearview to cover a LOT of what is behind you, you then use your side mirrors to show you what is just beyond that, then the additional mirror points down and back toward you for purposes such as clearing obstacles or maybe backing up

But then you just said 8 ft WIDE dear god what are you pulling, a hay trailer?
nevermind i had no concept of what 8 feet was after google, apparently thats what my car trailer is

The factory "recreational" mirrors are still available at some dealerships. Ordered a repplacement for one of mine awhile back. They work fine for me. They come with everything to mount on a plain door. The newer tow mirrors are nice but look put of place to me on the old trucks.

I moved my stock mirrors out using my stock brackets and about a 6" long piece of metal:

I did exactly what Bob did- except I drilled another hole and move them back in when not towing.

that looks good, it looks like you properly position your mirrors too. Most people point their mirror at their vehicle.... doing absolutely nothing as far as a mirror is concerned.
The little spot mirrors are best used for pointing at your vehicle, like, with a angle like that so you can see the road, your vehicle, the trailer, and, say, a curb since the mirror is pointed at the blind spot.

I bought small rotatable ones and put them in the lower outer corner (i dont tow anthing huge either) and like how its working. I also have a wide angle rear view clipped onto my rear view which is a narrow suction cup kind since ive never had a rear view in the truck. the wide angle is amazing for just driving(single cab) and allows me to see just past the view of the rear window itself, so that my outer mirrors pointing at my blind spots can have a little overlap if needed but otherwise allows them to be more appropriately out-ward and im not sacrificing the view anywhere
