Yea we did. We pulled in last night. No further boot issues.

Now I have an oil leak on the top of the engine. I’m thinking the Chinese HPOP lines I put on are leaking. My engine has a bit more of tinny sound to it the last 500 miles as well so I think it’s time for an oil change.

We’re here for a week, so I have time to get things figured out. I only got about 7 thousand miles out of that oil so I’m going to switch brands and see what happens.

Good to hear y'all arrived safely!

Check the HPOP lines where they go into the head. I cannot remember if your Chinese lines changed out the ORB for a JIC fitting or something... I had a leak there that I swore up and down it was the pedestal because the oil was hitting the plenum cover and running to the rear of the engine. This was leaving the front of the engine dry and diverting my attention to the rear of the engine.

Let us know if you need any supplies or advice, we are here to help sir.

I did replace for the JIC fittings. I have oil pooling in the valley and some spray pattern up the front of the spider. Not sure where it’s blowing from. The fittings on the heads look dry, not so sure about the ones on the pump. I’ll clean it up and pressure wash it to see if I can tell where my issue is.

I did not do the crossover line, I removed the check valves in the pump.

We have been in the north woods of Wisconsin with little to no cell service for a week. Today we moved farther north, deeper in the woods and have decent coverage. Go figure.

We’re having a great time, seeing family we haven’t seen in years, some of them over 20 years. Truck is running great. We have over 4k miles so far. Riff Raff boots are doing great.

I highly recommend retirement and traveling!!!

Outstanding news and we are glad all if your hard work and preparation paid off.

Travel safe and we will see you again on the FTE when things slow down a bit for you.
