Hello, I am doing an emissions delete on my farm truck (2013 F350) and what to know if the DPF has to be removed or can it stay in place with everything connected. I tuned it for the delete but am unsure if the pipe needs to come out. The bolts on the rear of it are completely seized and will not come out and will have to be cut so I thought I'd leave it be unless that is not good for the truck. Thanks.
It can stay, I'm deleted with it still on there but tuned out.
I know of one guy who deleted and cut the DPF open, gutted it and put a straight pipe through it and then welded it back together. That would be the only way I could see keeping it on.
Needs to be removed. If you leave it in there it will get plugged with soot since there will be no programming to perform the regen process.
I will need to cut the bolts at the rear to get it out. Should I cut the nut off or the bolt head? It's too rusted to tell if the nuts are welded to the pipe (like at down pipe) or pressed in.

Oh hell Dave I misread the damn thing & thought he was talking about the EGR
Yes you need to remove the DPF
The bolts heads are welded to the flange on mine so we just cut the bolts
