I did a search and it doesnt look like this has been discussed in a little while. What are the current go to up pipes? Bd no longer makes them with an egr delete pipe but ive found a few old stock 03-04 bd pipes at 425, ive seen the mbrps, flow pro, rudys has avp on clearance for under 200 from almost 300, a youtuber leftlane diesel has some one piece in stainless that look good for 375. Whats the go to these days? Looks like wpe is out of business.
Now considering replacing up pipes, THANKS GUYS!!!
I am replacing a faulty turbo and I posted if I should wrap my up pipes and didn’t see this post until now. Now I am considering replacing them with a kit. Is it worth wrapping, or leave them alone.
It’s funny, that I still spend unnecessary (for most people) money on a 16 year old truck lol.

Smackdaddy, if you live anywhere near me, I am bringing g my engine jobs to you, lol
Thanks guys! I’m warning you I’m not cheap, especially if you want the cosmetic paint job and painted bolt heads...🤣
The BD Diesel pipes and Turbo Performance heat blankets really made a difference in spool up and under hood temperature. I also did the full meal deal on the firewall and down pipe.
Looks like bd is the "go to" then. Ill be getting parts ordered soon so i can tackle this over my next set of days off in two weeks. Ill be pulling apart the turbo too to clean the unison ring while its out. I guess the factory ones decided to let go around gatlinburg and the truck still pulled alright after, but on my way home i took a good look in north carolina and found the firewall all sooted up on the driver side behind the flex joint. On my way from dc to pittsburgh it wouldnt push more than 18psi of boost. Pulling as heavy as i do its already slow going through the mountains with it running good. Ill be heat wrapping everything while its apart to hopefully aleviate the floor being hot when pulling.
I have a setup of those on my '06 F350, but they are the ones with the EGR delete pipe (so no connector to deal with there.) They weren't bad to put on, took a bit of fiddling to line them up since I was by myself but eventually got everything set and clamped down with no leaks. Good price and they work well. The 3 piece design actually makes it a bit easier to install everything without having to horse around with moving the motor or raising the cab, etc.

those were my exact thoughts also. I did turn up a company called discrete diesel out of michigan that looks interesting. Their pipes are 304 stainless and ceramic coated.
The only drawback is that theyre backordered 3 weeks. I really like the one piece arrangement with only 3 connections, but i worry about what all ill have to move out of the way to get them installed. I had a set of ceramic coated dougs headers on my highboy and the coating was pretty nice, but they werent stainless. Discrete has great reviews on a couple of the 6.0 facebook groups im in, but i have a rough time taking anything those groups say with any seriousness. Im not home for 2 weeks so ive got a little time to think.
I just thought id give this thread an update. After thinking about it i decided i wanted to go with a stainless setup since it seems everything rusts in pennsylvania. I found several companies that use 304 stainless but what ended up being a problem was finding anything in stock. I looked into the leftlanes, discrete, flopro, and a few other ones. Ipr ended up being the only ones available for order right now and everyone else is on backorder with no date when orders will be filled. They say a couple weeks, but after watching several work trucks waiting months on parts that were supposed to be only a couple weeks i ordered the ipr pipes. They seem to have a pretty solid reputation in general, so i guess we'll see what shows up in a few days.
