P1832

Ok got my OD button all rewired not near as much fun as you would think!

P1832Description The Transmission Control Module (TCM) monitors the Transmission Transfer Case Differential Lock-Up Solenoid. The TCM sets the OBDII code when the Transmission Transfer Case Differential Lock-Up Solenoid is not to factory specifications.
Time to dig into this one
Any suggestions ??

How is the transfer case shifting for you? Does it have problems shifing into 4Hi or 4Low? Or problems shifting from 4hi/4Lo back to 2Hi?

These codes can sometimes occur occasionally and not be an issue. I think it might happen when a shift hangs for a bit, or something like that.

If you do not have problems getting into and out of those ranges, I would just run it.

I am not finding P1832 in the Ford Service Manual, but I have been outside working all day, so I could just be overlooking it...

While doing a search for it here on the FTE, there seems to be a bit of history concerning this DTC. Some resulted in nothing being wrong, where others lead to an issue and a resolution.

OK, I took a different route and referred to a PDF version of the Ford Service Manual I have on file.

and

Which led me to a section 308-07A and this...

I have attached the pinpoint tests which includes Pinpoint Test G associated with the P1832 DTC.

All of this is irrelevant if your transfer case, 4x4 and OD button and light are functioning properly.
