quick question 4R100 sensor locations between case variations

I am doing a 4x4 swap on my 2001 F250 with the V10. I have a donor trans (gas 4x4 from a 99)
on my 01 I have input and output sensors on the bellhousing

on the 99 4x4 trans there is a plastic plug on input side and nothing on output. I assume the output location would be on the transfer case?

My question is do I need the input sensor since my 01 has plug on harness for it and if so does the plug pull out to accept sensor?

Thanks

The plug will pull out and the sensor will go in. The real question is if the '99 trans has the tone wheel inside the transmission that the sensor needs to read. If you don't have a functional input sensor you will have a transmission in limp mode all of the time.
