I was curious and wanted to see who might know the answer to this, but there is a sensor that is on the tail end of of the Transfer Case, just before the rear drive line next the the multi port solenoid or actuator.. What sensor is it? It has its own harness as well that ties into the multiport harness.. I smooshed mine when I was dropping the trans today!
If you have a ControlTrac, there are 2 hall sensors, they calculate the differential of the front and rear drive train, activating the T/C when it detects slippage
Ahh.. Yes, I should have mentioned that.. It is a 95 Limitted with Control Trac 4wd. So the Hall Sensor?
2nd question, trying to find out if I have a 4R44E or the 4R55E transmission is a huge pain. I have scoped the tranny itself with no luck. The only two stickers on it, one has been oiled and unreadable, the other is on the pan stating not to service this transmission according to canadian law.. Wierd.. Anyways, trying to finnd a replacement has been interesting, especially with the range of answers I am given.. Which tranny is it? LOL
