I put Gatorbacks on my F-450 with the black Ford ovals and used all their mounting kits. Bought from Sharp Truck on a black Friday sale so that softened the price blow. They gave me a $50 certificate for over $500 purchase on top of it. They are heavy and the rears were a PITA to get installed, but I'm sure they would tear the rear fender off before they came loose and they look really nice. They sit up high enough I don't have to worry about dragging them over a curb backing into a parking spot or backing over them in the snow. Pictures of the Gatorbacks loaded, unloaded, and curb comparison.
That being said if I were to do it again I think I would try out Dura Flaps. They were in the running as well when I bought mine. The extra width you can get on the fronts combined with the rain grooves would be better I think. The front Gatorback is only as wide as the factory fender flare. And it actually tapers in at the bottom. Barely covers the tread of the factory tires. If plans for aftermarket wheels/tires are in your future it would tip the scale even further toward Dura Flap. They offer extra long versions too. They will email you photos of the different versions installed on your truck to help pick what style you want.

Thanks, 406f150. That is a pretty hefty price to pay, but they look good. I kind of like the Ford oval look too. I will probably stick with stock wheels/tires for a while, but will definitely take a look at the DuraFlaps.
If you like the "Trucker" look go with something like above. If you like something cleaner, look at the Weather Tech, that's what went on our shop truck and everyone at work drives this thing to offroad events. They have held up well.
Thanks, Desert Moto. I don't think having that "trucker" look is all that bad. I am looking more for being effective. Having said that; I have had other Weather Tech products, and do like them. I think they are on my short list.
I have the gator backs on my swr truck. I don’t think I would get them again. They seem to decrease tire clearance. They do keep a lot of mud off my truck. I fear they may get torn off if I get stuck in deep mud or snow. I’m pretty sure there’s no room to run tire chains.
rockbloz on mine this was my 2020 I liked so much I put them on black beauty too
Thanks, Senix. I like the way the front ones look. They are quite long. However, the rears look to be a little short. Still, I do like the way they look all around. I'll check them out.
Thanks, ATC Crazy. I did do a quick search, however, very few of them were specific to the F450. Given the size of the tires, and the length/width of the F450, I was hoping for F450 specific results. Thanks for the thread link. I will check it out.
Not a random topic. This gets asked and answered about twice a month.
The search tool is quite good here:
Thanks, 67L48. When doing my search, I felt they were mostly referring to F350. Being new to the 'Dually World', I am not sure of the differences (if any), when it comes to the dual tires. Thanks for list. I really appreciate it.
For an F450, I might disagree... That does somewhat change it a bit, at least I think anyway. Mine has not arrived and I ordered the OEM mud flaps so I haven't really looked into it much.
Thanks, fleming23. I have also considered the OEM mudflaps. I'll check with my dealer on availability and price.
I had the very pricey Gatorbacks with the Ford Blue Oval emblem on my 2017 F350 dually. While they were heavy duty and looked nice, I started to get rust stains around the rivets that attached the emblem to the rubber. Although I regularly washed my truck, I attributed this to the very corrosive magnesium chloride they put on the roads here in the winter for ice melt. I also thought they were a PITA to keep clean with all the ribs in them. Since my 2021 F450 came with standard front mud flaps, I just decided to save some cash and go with the factory ford accessories rear mud flaps which work fine for their purpose. Since this truck doesn't have the chrome package I wanted a much more monochrome look with just solid black flaps. Sorry my truck is dirty in the photos.
The OEM front flaps on my truck were shot when I bought it with 113k highway miles. One was ripped halfway down from the top and the other was half missing from the same type of tear. I saw a video where the OEM fronts were swinging back in the wind and slapping the underside of the cab making an occasional "thud" noise. Overall turned me away from using the thinner OEM style flaps as replacements.
The F-350 DRW and F-450 share the same box and rear fenders so flap options will be the same there. Front flaps can be different since the F-450 has the wider flares.
Thanks, BSHORT. Gave it a momentary thought, but then, too flashy I think.

Only because I was schooled on this long ago.....you can click the "multi quote" button on each response you intend to reply to,and get them all in one reply post.Makes it a lot simpler to reply and for us to read.
"My450" If you haven't considered wheel well liners, you might. Even though it's a dually, the single wheel liners still work. Our 2021 F450 shop truck we installed the Husky liners as well as the Weather Tech mud flaps. Really helps keeping things clean and neat. Enjoy the ride .....
I added the hood insulation this weekend and all that is needed are the 10 push clips on the 2024.
I’ve been thinking about the light from f150led’s as well as it offers two zones of lighting. Only thing is I don’t want the automatic on/off switch. Id like to wire to a upfitter because if that switch fails you can end up with a dead battery as lights could potentially be on 24/7.
