Small Coverall shelters
Anyone have any of these and how do you like them? I have looked at some of the cheap ones (around $300 or so) - usually 10x20 but there doesnt seem to be much strength in the framing (snow loads, etc). Looked at a 'Quick structure' - distributed by 'Coverall' size 12x24 $750 at Co-op. They seem to have more framing and better UV rating (hopefully last longer) for the plastic.

My nieghbour has a coverall type shelter with wood end walls/doors that is great as a horse barn with room for machinery/feed storage.
If buying a smaller shelter I would really look at the Coveral brand closely, some ot the cheaper ones don`t look like they would last very long.

I have one here with lumber in it. I find in heavy rains it still lets moisture in. It was my mothers, and it blew over on her, but that was her fault of not anchoring it properly. When I got it it was missing the parts for the door. Has the canvas, but not the poles. I'm always worried the wind will blow it over, but it always stays standing.
Across the back I tied a bunch of bale twine back and forth. Otherwise it billows out. Mine sits in the open. It would be better if in trees or sheltered area. It came from Co op. Walmart seems to sell a similar one. For the price they are. If you get 2 or 3 years out of them you got your moneys worth.

A Coverall shelter has something like a 20 year guarantee I believe and can be bought with an insulation package. A Coverall type of building shouldn't`t increase property tax as it not on a permanent foundation and classed as a temporary building.
Remember quality doesn`t cost, it pays in the long run.

My coverall is too small. I know lots of farmers bought those big ones to park their machinery for the winters. They did not get taxed because they fell under Chattel. Now the govrnment change that on these coveralls. If they are of a cenrtain size or larger you can get taxed. RM's were losing money on buildings to tax. So they got things changed with the Government. A small single car size is not taxed.
