00 Excursion Weird Window issue *plzhelp*
New to me 2000 Excursion and i have an odd window issue. All but the drivers switch work fine. But when I hit the drivers switch up or down a relay switches and i get a beep from under the dash. Few seconds later another beep and a click then i can use the other switches again. At the same time, the drivers door light dims/goes off, same with the running boards and dome lights.
I've swapped the window switches with known working from my other Excursion. Swapped the relay, that didn't work. Swapped the whole GEM/fuse panel, that did nothing.
I pulled the window motor and swapped that, nothing. But oddly enough, when i hit other switches for other doors, the drivers window motor activates the direction of the other window switches. Not sure that's supposed to happen. I cant find any obvious wire breaks, the only broken connector was the door light which i replaced.
Where do I go from here?

I know that you checked the wiring for shorts but did you check it where it passes thru the rubber door loom into the body? Many times the wires in the loom wear thru and cause a short. Good luck.

That's my next hope. Rain came and couldn't pull the whole door off to fully inspect the harness. If it's not there, then what else?

Ground
pull the door panel and use a jumper wire w alligator clips to a good mechanical ground. If that works make a more permanent connection.
