See what happens when you leave the door open! Anybody can just wonder in here!
I was hoping you could help me with a strange problem. Driver window is not working at all. Passenger works fine. I never had ANY problems with it before. Not a slow roller or anything like that. I was hoping there is an independent relay or something I could just swap out....am I that lucky? I guess I am lucky that it is stuck in the up/closed position.
Thanks in advanced for your thoughts on it!
pull the door panel, and check the switch.
test light to the window motor plug and see if there is power. if there is, it is the motor. if not it is the switch.
i have replaced a lot more switches than motors.
That sounds easy enough, Tom. Thanks for the starting point. If it is a switch, hopefully I can plug the wires in to one of the rear window switches until I can find a replacement. Thanks again Tom!
Well, I walked out yesterday with a screwdriver in one hand and a multimeter in the other. I jumpstarted the vehicle and tried the window (why not right?). The window went up and down on command....(I think I scared it with tools in hand, determination on my face and beer on my breath). It sounds very whiney. I think I may need a motor soon. Maybe if was frozen before? I don't know. I will prolly pick this thread back up in a few weeks when cuts out again/for good.
Thanks for watching, stay tuned
