Death wobble

The above link gives a good explanation of the causes of Death Wobble. Mainly it is about castor . However, it is a steering system and other parts can be involved There are castor shims available or a part from BD diesel that is a more involved to install.
Death wobble is not caused by a bad steering stabilizer. A steering stabilizer is a band aid to the problem, and its simply a way of Ford masking the problem for as cheaply as possible, to get you thru a warranty. A stiffer stabilizer is just like if you held the steering wheel tighter. Ever been able to stop death wobble by holding on tighter? If everything is tight, and your alignment is good (not in spec but good) you don't even need a stabilizer in the first place...
There's many issues that can cause it. Bad tires, air pressure, bad shocks, an alignment issue or any worn component (ball joints, tie rods, track bar, radius arm bushings, wheel bearings, steering box......) mainly its caused by a worn component. Dry steering the system will wear out the front end quickly (you should only steer the wheels when the wheels are spinning, even very slowly is enough to help)
As far as an alignment, you'll want 4 to 5 degrees of caster (which is on the high end of the ford spec) and a slight toe in condition. Note that a leveling kit will lower caster.
As far as greaseable joint being stronger, I disagree. Take for example a ujoint. A Spicer ujoint that is non greasable is nearly double the strength of a ujoint that has a grease fitting.. it's stronger because it doesn't have a hole in it that reduces the area of the wear point..
Just my 2 cents. If you have death wobble, jack the front end up and look for something worn. It could also be the frame end of the track bar. Check that with the wheels on the ground and have someone dry steer the system bqck and forth. If you have excessive movement at the rubber bushing, it's bad.. generally the dealer will be useless because they will fix it for as cheaply as possible to just get you down the road and away long enough till it comes back...
