Tranny issue or normal

I have recently picked up a 92 f350 with the 7.3. Now when I drove it the OD light on the shifter flashed a few times ( says my friend). I have not been able to recreate the flashing. I have put fluid in it it because it was low. Does it flash if its low on fluid? Also the other thing that is odd to me is when cruising around 20-40mph, if I let off the throttle, the trans seems to kickdown into maybe N? But if I get on the throttle again, it seems like it kicks up into gear. Is this normal operation? This is a auto. The trans seems to be shifting fine and havent had any issues other than what I said. Also, what are symptoms of bad U joints and how can I check this?

When the OD light flashed codes were stored in the computer. They will stay there for about a month after the last time the light flashed. You can read the codes with this method: www.troublecodes.net/ford

U joints on the driveshaft(s)?

Start with just moving the drive shaft back and forth at each u joint. Is there play or loose nuts...haha...loose nuts!-)). Play...))))

anyway, does the driveshaft make noise when driving? What’s the symptom?

and good luck with your e4od))))
