Under full exceleration(floored) my trans(1994 e4od) is failing to fully downshift into the lower gear. Its as if I put it in neutral and floored it. I have only noticed it once since I floor it mayby once or twice a year. But I have had codes 628 and 625 for some time now but the trans works as it should(exept for this instance) Last year I replaced the mlps and I have gone through the wiring several times and all of the external connections are good. I have suspected a tps for the other issues, Would a bad tps cause this condition?
If you mean that when you floor the truck and it does not go into passing gear? That sounds like TPS. You say that when you floor it, it's as if it were in neutral. Do you mean it does not accelerate, or it revs up like not in gear?
I checked the fluid and it was about 1/4 pint low, I wouldnt think that would cause it to slip that bad. I dumped the converter and pan about 6 months ago when I swapped in a differant engine, and I change it regularly otherwise(plug in pan).
When I floored it it started to downshift but instead of going into passing gear it acted as if I put in neutral, When I eased up on the pedal it kicked into gear like its supposed to. It downshifts like its supposed to when I dont floor it.
