Tranny problem E40D
its my tranny but a friends explain for me since my inglish is not 100%
Anywho, my guess is that his TC is slipping. When he is coasting with his foot OFF of the accelerator, and then puts his foot back ON IT (around 35-50mph) it SLAMS, but then grabs the gear right away and keeps on trucking like no problem. He said that he didn't notice the RPMs surge up when this happened so I'm not so sure if it is slipping, but then again I don't know a whole lot about trannies. Also mentioned that sometimes it would happen around these same speeds when he was applying constant but VERY LIGHT pressure to the accelerator. This again makes me think TC slippage as the light acceleration is causing the truck to fall in and out of gear. Who knows?! Not me!
Fluid and filter were changed only a couple months ago, and the tranny was rebuilt around 50k miles ago
