If I ever need to replace the OEM radiator, I will without a doubt go with a 100% aluminum. As Chris said below, quality control and manufacturing procedures are not in the same universe as they were 20 years ago.
The only problem is in recent years we have seen a decline of motorcraft parts for "older" vehicles like the trucks. Im led to believe they are not being manufactured by the same folks who built what originally came in the trucks. i.e overseas low bidders
