I have a 94 F-250 with the 5.8L. I have been running into the issue of the volt meter bouncing all over the place, from the N to the L in NORMAL. Also having bad radio interference and when the truck shuts off the truck is dead and will not start back up. Dinger when key is in the ignition is warped sounding, dome light is no but not as bright as it should be. I have owned the truck for a little over a year now. I have replaced the ignition control module twice, new starter and solenoid, new alternator, new ground cable. The terminals are clean both no the battery and the starter solenoid. I got underneath the truck, saw that the power wire to the starter was just twisted together. I replaced the wire and put new butt connectors and heat shrink tubes onto the solenoid on the starter itself and am still running into these issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
It was tested about a month ago and it was putting out 627 of the 650 amps.
Do you mean before all this started? What good is such a test? Also, the numbers you quoted is not how a battery test works. You do not test for amperage output, you test for voltage under load.
