Excessive positive camber

I recently rebuilt my front suspension. New bushings all around, new bronze king pins, new center link, new tie rod, and new springs. The old springs that came out were both the same height. The new ones had one slightly less tall which I understood to be put on the drivers side. I adjusted the brake drums with tires on and lowered the truck to the ground. Right off the bat I could see lots of positive camber on the right side. I estimate 5 degrees + drivers side and 8 degrees + passenger side. Haven't yet fine tuned toe in but I matched up the old so I know I'm pretty close. Yet when you stand back and look the camber jumps right out at you. Clearly the rebuild eliminate any slop in the system so I don't understand where the camber comes from.

Should note the truck drove straight and normal before I did this but the bushings had clearly seen better days and the nylon king pins had also seen their days.

What kind of height difference do you notice with the truck? Did you pull the I beams and get them mixed up?

First the I beams were dropped as an assembly and done one at a time so no mix up. I strongly suspect I will be going back to the old springs this weekend to see what happens. Gut feeling is that will be where the camber comes from.

This while changing over to a dual master. Good thing I got 25 ft. of line because I used all of it to make two very short lines and two 24" lines.

That camber can come from loose wheel bearings, but I doubt that is it. Good luck on solving it. I doubt the springs would have made that much change without changing the trucks stance.

I think what you are experiencing is all most typical after rebuilding and first landing on the ground. It just needs some time and miles to settle in.

Maybe then maybe not. The right tire is on the outside edge while the left tire is a bit less so. The left side got the shorter spring and the right the longer spring which is the difference right there.

If it is then is is subtle enough that I can't tell. The only way would be to switch out the new for old.

That is excessive, mine was noticeable but not quite that bad. Is there an engine in the truck?

Did you roll the truck forward and back and not just a little.
If not then thats what the issue is.
Better yet take it for a ride around the block then check it.

Exactly, can't judge it until you drive it. All twin I beams look like that when set straight down.

X2 on that, take it for a short drive so suspension has a chance to settle.
