04 e250 transmission

04 e250 transmission
I put a used transmission in and it runs down the road 1 and 2, no 3 or over drive. Just wondering if I need to reset the computer. Thanks chuck

no , it would only go in reverse, I just bought it so I really don't know the vehicle. Thank you

No, the computer does not need to be reset.

What codes are stored? WIthout codes I can't tell you much more than something is wrong,

Typically no you can not----those DTC's have to be retrieved by a slightly more advanced scanner, one with the capability of that task. The retail parts sellers do NOT have that ability either.

Get yourself a copy of Forscan and a OBDLink interface, the software is free and the interface isn't that expensive.
